| Description | This time we assembled a team of five adventurers to on a scantly described job that mentioned rogue cats and proposed to remove wax seal on it once the team was ready. We did so and some unknown to me magic brought us to a lab of a toad wizard, named Croakabuld Ribbitsi. One of two is correct, either it's comfortable for him to work with so much water around or his lab was previously flooded and he just doesn't care. Also he had an enormous hat and told us that it indicated his great magical power. He explained us that he wanted to retrieve notes about transforming creatures' shape and nature. The complex part about was the fact that other lab, apparently belonging to someone else, was occupied with rogue cats and nobody of wizard's envoys returned after visiting them. Also he mentioned that there was a cat cafe nearby and we could go there to try retrieve more information about rogue cats. He proposed to teleport as close to it as he could and we agreed.
We appeared near a fallen tree and didn't have time to look around as one of us barely managed to noticed that nearby where a lion and a moorbounder that were going to ambush us. Probably the wizard had already teleported someone else to the same exact point and those cats found it out and prepared. Luckily, those cats didn't constitute a menace for our party and we defeated them. We captured the lion alive and then our druid communicated with it and found out that they were commanded by some mysterious rolling cat. The lion was intimidated by that rolling cat as it was faster and stonger than all other cats. He also explained that the fallen tree nearby was knocked down by that rolling cat and it had enourmous footprints on it. We agreed to free the lion if he won't try to make any harm to us or other peaceful creatures. Then we headed to the cat cafe. It appeared to be a lonely building in the middle of plane. As we entered it we found out that both staff and visitors there were cats only. None of them were hostile to us and we concluded that they weren't commanded by the rolling cat. We began to ask questions about rolling cat, but the cats in the cafe didn't want to share information as they were afraid that if we will fail in eliminating the rolling cat, than it will revenge them. Eventually we managed to make an agreement, that we should please these cats 3 times and than they will give us the information. We tried a lot of different things among which were playing music, cooking sushi, making a massage and proposing to share contacts of good suppliers for their cafe. Finally, the cats were pleased and they told us where the rolling cat could be found. Also they told us that he had 2 sidekicks which wore nifty leather jackets. When we went to the lair of the rolling cat we passed near the point were Croakabuld teleported us. There we stumbled into the sidekicks which where inspecting what happened to the dead moorbounder. We sneaked to them and surprised with our assault. They also appeared to be not very strong foes and we quickly killed them as they were a threat to the other creatures in the area. Then we continued our way to the rolling cat's lair. As we that cat it appeared to be huge, which meant that he was six times bigger than me. Once again we managed to stealthily approach it and then attack. In combat he was really scary and, if not for the advantage we gained from ambushing it, we might have problems. Anyway, we defeated it, took the notes we were sent for and some other useful items from it's lair. Then we returned to Croakabuld with the help of another wax seal he gave us. He was pleased with our work, handed us our reward and then returned us to TFC. |
